Small Business Loans

The Madera County Economic Development Commission (EDC) provides various financial services to businesses located within Madera County.

EDC is authorized to provide long- and short-term fixed asset financing and working capital for start-up and existing businesses through the City of Madera and Madera County Small Business Loan Programs. These programs are funded directly by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and are based primarily on job creation and retention.

Funding from the program can be used for business acquisition, commercial real estate purchase, working capital, inventory purchase, equipment or machinery purchase, and leasehold improvements up to $2,500. Terms and interest rate are set on a case-by-case basis, and are based on the asset being financed. Loans of less than $50,000 are processed and approved locally. Loans greater than $50,000 require additional approval from the State CDBG Program. The EDC assures speedy, effective, and confidential processing of your loan.
