The Madera Community College Center located at 30277 Ave. 12, along with the Madera Chamber of Commerce, will host their first ever business conference from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The focus of the conference is to engage business leaders in Madera and build a stronger economic base. Madera County Unemployment Rate

The unemployment rate in Madera County was 6.1 percent in September 2007, down from 6.5 percent in August 2007, but above the year-ago estimate of 5.3 percent.
